We are called to empower those exploited and those especially vulnerable to exploitation with opportunities for sustaining freedom. We do this through direct, practical, individualized, and trauma-informed care. We focus on removing the barriers of vulnerability and replacing them with bridges to freedom. It's not about rescuing; it's about empowering.
To the woman and child trafficked, we see you. To the single mother, to the oppressed minority, the uneducated widow, the refugee, and to those caught in the riptide of generational trauma, we see you, and you are not abandoned.
"There are many barriers that keep someone stuck. It can feel insurmountable to overcome the barriers by yourself, but with mentors, coaches, a community that lifts you up, believes in you and supports you through it... together, those barriers don't stand a chance."

Not Abandoned Volunteer
Outreach directly to sexually exploited women in brothels and sex tourism disctricts. Outreach to the refuges near the borders and to vulnerable children in impoverished communities.
Group and independent learning opportunities created with the intent of closing workplace skills gaps by targeting social and emotional growth, language and communication skills, as well as industry specific training.
Prevention is an essential piece of the Not Abandoned model. We approach prevention through interactive, mulit-media community trainings and youth programs with support from our strong partnerships with schools, social services, and local leaders.
Provide training and opportunities for holistic health. This includes financial, social, physical, spiritual and mental health through multi-faceted trauma-informed care and programs.
Facilitate employment engagement of students to healthy jobs in the local and digital marketplaces through established partnerships, our in-house businesses, and business start-up support.
The desire for home is nearly universal. When healthy and available, we support our students in their reintegration back to their home community and family. Our staff work with both the student and her family to understand how to best support both parties throughout this transition.
Our passion is to empower individuals so they can empower their communities. We are committed to supporting community-wide economic growth through job creation, spiritual and social health, trafficking and trauma vulnerability awareness, and stabilized families.
Assistance available to exploited individuals who face an emergency and don’t have the financial resources to meet their basic needs or the needs of their families. This support has been especially necessary in the wake of COVID-19.
We believe in multiplying our efforts by equipping new leaders in the field of social support and advocacy in the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, and South America. By training volunteers and professionals they are better empowered to help those exploited in their roles as friend, mentor, advocate, and leader.
At Not Abandoned, we continually ask ourselves, “How can we help more effectively?” Because of this, we evaluate the evolving needs and expand our services to best support exploited communities to provide more opportunities for freedom and empowerment. We are also actively looking for financial partners for each of these projects to launch successfully. Take a look at our new efforts in-development below and contact us if you have any questions or interest in sponsoring freedom.
We have far outgrown the capacity of our current center. This expanded Education Employment Center (EEC) facility will host multiple in-house businesses, emergency housing, additional individualized learning opportunities for our students, and a much larger group meeting room for our community. The EEC is a safe, welcoming environment where our students feel at home. With more space, we can share in even more family time through meals, gardening, games, and celebrations together.
Not Abandoned is in the process of establishing an additional base in Spain to serve the growing population of trafficked and exploited persons in Europe. Here we will respond to the tremendous needs for emergency recovery housing and support for multi-national women coming out of trafficking. At this base a special emphasis will be placed on serving mothers with accompanying children, as this has been identified as the largest gap in available trafficking recovery services throughout the EU.
As our physical center expands in size so does our capacity to diversify the programming we offer. In our new EEC, we will be able to host additional in-house businesses including: a wholesale bakery, accessory manufacturing, and an e-commerce incubator for small business start-ups. This expansion will allow us to better train and employ our students, before transitioning to an outside job with one of our partners.
