Highlights and Updates: from Exploitation to Empowerment
Prevention programs in Korat, Thailand (NE Thailand) are going strong, with further invitations to get involved in more rural communities.
Our Korat Team's partnerships with schools and social services have proven even more helpful and encouragement to the community, especially during these times of COVID.
Our teams in both Thailand and Spain have been providing food and support to communities suffering from the economic and health affects of COVID.
In Thailand this year, we have reached over 1,000 families with care packets of food and health packets with hygiene and safety supplies.
Our teams have maintained the vital lifelines of counseling and care for our students and exploited women, utilizing video calls, endless text messages, and social media to connect when being physically in the same place wasn't permissible.
You, our greater Not Abandoned family, showed such encouragement and support to our team during this summer's fundraising events: Elevate Freedom and the Empower Concerts. THANK YOU!
Thailand's borders for international travel have finally begun to open up, which means we're excited to now begin planning volunteer teams for 2022. (Stay tuned for details as they develop into next year)
Our NEW Not Abandoned base in Spain is officially a reality! (Look out on social media and in a second email from us in the next few days for all the exciting details!)
With the new base in Spain, our PEERS model of holistic care for exploited women is now being duplicated in Algeciras, Spain with a new Freedom Center to offer exploitation prevention and recovery programs to women
Over 100 women are already signed up for this new center's programs (and also 20 men!) with even more on a waiting list!
