Not Abandoned

Where are we headed?

The journey Not Abandoned has been on since 2008 has been an exciting one.

We ended last year celebrating the hope and freedom brought to thousands of women, men, girls, and boys because of your partnership through your generosity, prayers, volunteer hours and support.

2025 will be a year filled with new life changing engagements as we continue to focus on our core competency– providing freedom from exploitation. There are women trapped in a hopeless cycle of cruel and painful oppression. It's an ugly reality, but we're not looking away. Instead, we will continue to walk directly into her world with steady love and steady support. We sit down at the brothels, we share a drink, we listen to her story. We walk the streets with her, we share a meal, we cry with her trauma. This is the slow, gentle, honorable relationship building, this is the foundation of trust and respect she deserves. Once she understands that our intentions are sound and decides she's ready to risk a change, now we get to do the glorious work of rebuilding her voice, her health, her spirit, and her power!

As this new year launches, we think back to when it all began-- the initial vision when we walked the streets of cities filled with the heartache of the illegal sex industry. Thousands of women, teens, and girls uncomfortable in their counter-cultural revealing clothing, waiting to be picked up by some guy that would allow her to send money home to her parents or kids. We asked ourselves: What should we do? What is our responsibility now that we have seen it?

Today, we have the immense privilege to see teams in multiple countries who are sold out to the mission of freedom right alongside us. The vision was not abandoned on those lonely streets of Pattaya, Thailand and she is Not Abandoned because of you.

This year... we will grow with additional staff, engage with those victimized by exploitation, and do everything we can to help restore their power of choice in their own future. We will provide job opportunities -- in-house and out with trusted business partners. We will provide trauma care, counseling, spiritual coaching, and healthy community. We will provide specialized care, training, and support to communities with disabilities. We will continue to expand our programs to better assist those we serve, including a residential program for mothers with their children and a community cafe. This year, our priority is growth-- but, growth with excellence.

Our vision is to ensure that any person exploited is Not Abandoned

Our mission is to facilitate sustaining freedom for the exploited by providing practical opportunities for empowerment through holistic programming.

This is what drives us forward.

Will you join us?

When donating to a cause as complex as human trafficking, it’s hard to know that your generosity is actually going to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Not Abandoned empowers freedom for exploited women in the darkest places around the world, so that your donations actually change the destiny of a woman’s life.

A return to normalcy, that is the goal. But how do you achieve a goal as ambiguous as this?
